It is with immense pride and warm greetings that I welcome you on behalf of the West Bengal Poultry Federation. Over the years, West Bengal’s poultry industry has scripted an inspiring success story, transforming the livelihoods of thousands while firmly positioning our state as a national powerhouse in this vital sector.
Today, West Bengal proudly leads India in chicken meat production, contributing an impressive 12–12.6% of the country’s output—outperforming even larger states such as Uttar Pradesh—while recording a robust annual growth rate of ~10%, nearly double the national average. Our egg production is equally remarkable: West Bengal is now the fourth-largest egg producer, accounting for over 11% of India’s eggs, with a staggering 18% growth in egg output during FY 2023–24 — far ahead of the national average of 3–4%. This phenomenal growth has propelled us beyond meeting domestic needs, paving the way for Bengal to emerge as a promising export hub for poultry products.
For nearly a decade, the West Bengal Poultry Federation, in close collaboration with the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal, has proudly organised the Kolkata International Poultry Fair. This annual gathering has evolved into Eastern India’s largest and most influential platform for the poultry sector, uniting farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, policy makers, and innovators under one roof.
We are now thrilled to announce the 12th Kolkata International Poultry Fare 2026, scheduled from 10th to 13th February 2026 at the iconic Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata. This edition promises to be bigger, more dynamic, and more future-focused than ever before. A major highlight will be the International Technical Seminar “NOVACON” on 10th February 2026, at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, bringing together global experts, trailblazers, and pioneers to share insights, technologies, and game-changing ideas that will shape the next decade of poultry growth.
This edition’s specially curated “Student Zone,” is designed to ignite curiosity and equip the next generation with practical skills and exposure to world-class innovations. Through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions, we are nurturing tomorrow’s leaders today.
This fair is not just an exhibition — it is an opportunity hub: a place to discover cutting-edge solutions, connect with leading suppliers and investors, and forge partnerships that will drive transformation across West Bengal, the North East, and our neighbouring regions. With over 40,000 expected participants, including industry leaders and delegates from Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Nigeria, Myanmar and beyond, this platform continues to grow in scale and impact each year.
