Warm Welcome to the 11th Kolkata International Poultry Fair, 2025 We are delighted to invite you to the 11th Kolkata International Poultry Fair, taking place from February 11th to February 14th, 2025, at Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata-700156.

The West Bengal Poultry Federation, the only assembly of all poultry stakeholders in West Bengal, is organizing this event in association with the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal. For the past ten years, this fair has garnered tremendous support and participation from industry stakeholders both domestically and internationally.

Inauguration of 10th KIPF 2024- The 10th Kolkata International Poultry Fair 2024 was inaugurated by Shri Pradeep Majumdar, Hon’ble MIC, Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Govt. of West Bengal. The inaugural session also featured esteemed dignitaries including Vice Chancellors and professors from WBUAFS and other universities, senior government officials, eminent ministers of state, and prominent poultry personalities from various states. Notable attendees included Dr. Chanchal Guha, Vice Chancellor, and former Vice Chancellor Dr. Purnendu Biswas of WBUAFS, Shri Swapan Debnath, Honourable Minister in Charge, ARD, Government of West Bengal, Shri Madan Mohan Maity, General Secretary, West Bengal Poultry Federation, Mr. Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA, Shri Prem Anup Sinha, CGM State Bank of India, Bengal Circle, Mr. Radheshyam Roy, Mr. Sameer Agarwal, and Mr. Sumit Kumar Ghosh, Vice Presidents of West Bengal Poultry Federation

Exhibition - The primary objective of this poultry fair is to promote the growth of the poultry industry through modern technological advancements in the state and nearby regions, including the Northeast. The fair attracted approximately 40,000 farmers from West Bengal and other states, as well as from neighbouring countries. Renowned poultry personalities, speakers, and producers from India and countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Nigeria, and Myanmar attended the fair. This year, we expect an even greater number of international participants.

The Kolkata International Poultry Fair offers the best opportunity to showcase the development of the livestock and poultry industry in our state. It is a unique platform to invite investors and producers to explore opportunities in the poultry sector. For ongoing market development, it is the best platform to advance poultry business in the eastern zone and update new inventions in the sector. There are ample opportunities for participation through stalls, sponsorships, and souvenirs.

Technical Seminar-“NOVACON” “NOVACON” is a full-day international seminar on poultry business, focusing on innovation. curated by the West Bengal Poultry Federation, the seminar targets poultry farmers, entrepreneurs, veterinarians, academicians, scientists, and government officials. Our goal is to raise awareness about the latest developments in the poultry sector and future opportunities by bridging the gap between experts and the poultry community. The West Bengal Poultry Federation aims to inspire all stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and embrace recent innovations for a sustainable future in the business.

Student Zone- The fair includes a Student Zone for school and college students. Erudite individuals in Poultry Sciences and professors from the West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences will educate students on poultry-related issues, potentially inspiring future entrepreneurs in the industry. This initiative aims to discover new talents and spark interest in the poultry sector.

Technical Seminar: To Promote HPAI Free Compartmentalisation of specially focused on Table Eggs Export in Eastern India. A seminar has been arranged by the DAHD, Govt. of India to promote HPAI free compartmentalisation of eggs exports especially table eggs in Eastern India, here in Kolkata on 7th February 2024. The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying experts guided the participants on the application process and its formalities thereof. There was also an interactive session with the poultry farmers & major stake holders for their benefits.

Pan India Broiler Coordination Committee (PIBCC) Meeting Highlights - 8th February 2024 The Pan India Broiler Coordination Committee meeting was held on 8th February 2024 at The Westin Rajarhat. The meeting was addressed by Mr. Madan Mohan Maity, General Secretary of the West Bengal Poultry Federation, with a keynote address by Mr. Vasant Kumar C., Convenor of the Pan India Broiler Coordination Committee. The Key highlights of the programme was the Introduction of New Torch Bearers of the PIBCC: Karnataka Poultry Farmers and Breeders Association (KPF&BA), Telangana Poultry Breeders Association, & Broilers Breeders Association, North India. The discussions of the meeting were done on the Current Broilers Market Scenario and Price Trends, Promotional Activities to Increase Chicken Consumption, & Strategy to Reduce Chicken Body Weights to 2-2.2 kg. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sameer Agarwal, MD of Shalimar. This event marked a significant step towards enhancing collaboration and strategic planning in India's poultry sector.

Ceremonial Programme- The ceremonial dinner at the 10th Kolkata International Poultry Fair, held on Eco Island at Eco Park, Rajarhat, on February 8th, 2024, was a memorable evening filled with splendid performances. Charismatic anchor Shakeel Ansari hosted the event with wit and charm, ensuring a smooth flow and keeping the audience engaged throughout the night. The evening began with the graceful Indrani Dutta Ballet Troupe, whose seamless blend of classical and contemporary dance forms captivated the audience. Following the ballet, Snigdhajit Bhowmick took the stage with his soulful voice, delivering heartfelt renditions that resonated deeply with the audience. Anannya Chakraborty continued the musical journey with her powerful and melodious performance, showcasing her vocal versatility and enchanting the attendees.

Closing ceremony— The closing ceremony was presided over by our General Secretary, Mr. Madan Mohan Maity. In his brief speech, he summarized the highlights of the three-day fair and expressed gratitude to all exhibitors and participants. Awards were distributed to stall owners/exhibitors judged to have the best ambiance and other criteria by government officials. All the vendors who helped make this colourful fair possible were felicitated by our committee members. The event concluded with a felicitous gesture by the General Secretary, who honoured the staff and other members involved in the fair with "Uttorio". The program ended with a vote of thanks to all exhibitors, staff, and patrons.
